About the prices. I know it can be difficult to set a price when you first start taking comms. My personal advice would be to decide the minimum amount of money you’re willing to take for your art. Set like a line that you don’t wanna cross because it’s too little money and go from there. After some time you can up your prices once in a while (what I did).
I also think it would be good to see how other artists price their work. Try to analyze why the price is higher or lower. Does it depend on their following? On their skills and experience? Maybe they provide something unique? This can help you see what advantages you have as an artist that can make your prices higher, but reasonable at the same time.
Also, please do not sell your art very cheap. Any kind of art is not cheap. If we artists want people to respect our art, we shouldn’t sell it cheap.
However, I do realize that it’s difficult to sell comm for a higher price if you don’t have a decent following, for example. Sad as is
